Dolomites Ski Traverse
A hut-to-hut ski traverse across the Italian Dolomites, finishing in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Five or six ski days link some of the most famous terrain in the range, with private rooms, hot showers and exceptional local food along the way.
Ask anyone who has skied it: the Dolomites ski traverse deserves to be as famous as the classic Haute Route. The scenery is unlike anywhere else in the Alps, and the "huts" are really mountain inns, with private rooms, hot showers, even saunas, and some of the best traditional food in the mountains. The Dolomiti Superski lift network links most of the valleys, so each day can adapt to the weather and the group, with plenty of plan Bs to reach the next night's stay.

Trip Highlights
- Following the historic line of the first Dolomites ski traverse, first skied in 1936
- Crossing the Pale di San Martino range on day one
- Skiing from the top of the Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites
- Val Mesdì, probably the most famous off-piste run in the Dolomites
- A night at one of the highest huts in the range
- A grand finale beneath the Tre Cime di Lavaredo
Life in the Huts
A ski holiday should also be pleasant (and delicious). Expect gourmet dinners, mountain lodges with hot pools overlooking the peaks, and long lunches on sunny terraces before skiing on to the next stop.
