Trekker rappelling down a sea cliff above a turquoise cove on the Sardinian coast

Selvaggio Blu Extreme

-
Santa Maria Navarrese, Sardinia, Italy
Solid hiking experience, good fitness, sure-footed, no fear of heights

Five days of trekking along the wild coast of Sardinia. Selvaggio Blu Extreme links exposed ledges, via ferratas and rappels of up to 60 meters with nights under the stars and swims at some of the most beautiful beaches on the coastline. Solid hiking experience and a head for heights required. Minimum 6 people per group.

Selvaggio Blu is known as the most challenging trek in Italy, and the "Extreme" version takes in the wildest, most spectacular stretch of Sardinia's coast. Every stage is more beautiful than the last: exposed via ferratas, rappels right above huge sea caves, landings on the most beautiful beaches of the coastline, and narrow ledges high above the Mediterranean. Even trekkers who have done the classic route find it a whole new adventure.

Who This Trip Is For

It's truly an "Extreme" trek, but don't be scared off. Safety is always covered on the most exposed sections, with fixed ropes set by the guide. You'll want solid hiking experience on uneven, exposed rocky terrain, good fitness for about 6 hours of walking a day, sure footing and no fear of heights. Via ferrata and rappelling experience is recommended but not required. Above all, come flexible and easy going, ready to be part of a great team.
